Job Description

Legacy House of Spanish Fork, located in Utah, is a respected senior living community operated by Western States Lodging and Management. We pride ourselves on our "personal touch" philosophy, focusing on getting to know our guests and residents personally and providing care that goes beyond the expected. At Legacy House, we strongly believe in fostering a sense of community where staff and residents feel like family. Our team is driven by six essential core values: be loving, choose wisely, perform together, act boldly, express gratitude, and mind the store. This framework guides our approach to resident care and workplace culture, helping us support a happy, healthy, and independent senior living environment. The Legacy House team is committed to hiring individuals who are dependable, qualified, dedicated, and trustworthy, as the trust placed in staff to care for our residents is of utmost importance.

We are currently looking to hire an enthusiastic and upbeat Kitchen Chef / Lead Cook for our senior living facility. This entry-level cooking position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities with flexible scheduling options anytime between 6:00 am and 7:00 pm, making it ideal for candidates seeking versatile work hours. The role comes with a competitive wage of $17 per hour and excellent benefits for full-time employees, including medical and dental insurance, 12 days of paid time off (PTO), 2 weeks of paid vacation, a 401(k) plan with matching contributions, and a health savings account (HSA) also with matching. Beyond the standard benefits, our team also enjoys annual events such as a Lagoon day, company parties, and a staff appreciation week, all designed to nurture camaraderie and reward hard work.

As a Kitchen Chef / Lead Cook at Legacy House of Spanish Fork, you will play a pivotal role in preparing nutritious and tasty home-cooked meals tailored to the specific dietary needs of our senior residents. Creativity and passion for healthy food preparation are key to this role, as you will create culinary experiences that enhance the well-being and satisfaction of those we serve. Your duties will include planning menu items based on provided recipes, ensuring food quality by monitoring taste, smell, appearance, and temperature, and maintaining strict adherence to food sanitation and kitchen cleanliness standards. The position also involves keeping the kitchen well-stocked, organized, and efficient to streamline meal preparation and service. We value attention to detail and responsiveness to the unique needs of our residents, making this position both rewarding and impactful.

No prior culinary experience is required, making this a great entry-level opportunity for those passionate about cooking and willing to learn in a supportive environment. If you are looking for a job where you can grow your cooking skills while contributing to a vibrant senior community and working within a happy and fun team, this could be the perfect fit. We invite motivated candidates with a strong attention to detail and a love for working in a fast-paced setting to consider joining our team.
