Job Requirements
- Follow dress/uniform policy
- Must obey all state and federal guidelines regarding health and safety policies
- Wear clean complete uniform at all times including black pants, white Vallarta polo shirt, black non-slip shoes, dark socks, hair net or Vallarta hat, and clean apron
- Wear safety glove when using knives
- Wash hands frequently at least every 20 minutes with hot water and anti-microbial soap for no less than 20 seconds
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous cash handling experience preferred
- Experience in food service or retail environment is an advantage
- Ability to operate cash register and handle various forms of payment
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
Job Duties
- Operate cash till, balancing the till at the end of your shift
- Greet all customers in a friendly manner
- Complete all sales transactions including cash, credit card, debit card and food stamps
- Bag merchandise after sales transaction is completed and paid for
- Thank customers for their patronage
- Know weekly specials
- Sign in and out for breaks
- Follow the cash irregularities policy
- Greet and assist all customers in a friendly manner
- Maintain assigned work area clean at all times including sweeping and mopping
- Maintain a workstation that is organized and stocked
- Assist cook in preparing food
- Follow management directions and promote teamwork
- Assist and participate with company marketing promotional events and programs as needed
- And all other assigned job duties
