Job Description

Best Western Premier Bridgewood Resort Hotel & Conference Center is a locally owned and operated establishment located in Neenah, WI, renowned for its dedication to high-quality events and exceptional customer service. This premium resort and conference center specializes in hosting a wide array of gatherings, ranging from elegant weddings and galas to corporate functions, social events, and off-site catering services. The venue prides itself on creating memorable experiences for guests, with its banquet kitchen playing a central role in delivering outstanding culinary service. The team at the resort is known for its strong work ethic, mutual support, and a dynamic environment that balances hard work with a culture of enjoyment and camaraderie.

The Lead Banquet Chef position is a pivotal role within the Banquet Kitchen, reporting directly to the Executive Chef. This full-time, hourly role offers a competitive pay rate ranging from $22 to $25 per hour, commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will be an experienced cook who excels in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment where precision and timing are critical, especially when managing large-scale events with simultaneous meal service for up to 200 guests. The Lead Banquet Chef not only executes high-quality dishes but also takes on leadership responsibilities, working closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to oversee kitchen operations during banquet events.

This role demands a hands-on approach, requiring the chef to actively participate in preparation, cooking, plating, and late-night snack production while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation. In addition to cooking duties, the Lead Banquet Chef plays a key role in coordinating kitchen staff, ensuring smooth communication between the kitchen and banquet service teams, and supporting the team through effective leadership during busy events. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for culinary professionals who enjoy variety, challenge, and the satisfaction of contributing directly to the success of large and varied events. The resort supports its team members with various perks, including team member swim days, fitness center access, discounted hotel stays, holiday pay, supplemental insurance options, paid time off, 401K retirement plans with company match potential, and comprehensive health insurance for full-time employees.
