Job Requirements

  • Ability to handle physical activities such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for long periods
  • Capability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to uniform standards
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to follow strict hygiene and safety protocols

Job Qualifications

  • History of working in baking or related roles preferred
  • Knowledge of baking techniques, guidelines, and sanitation regulations
  • Food safety certification is a prerequisite or must be obtained
  • Mastery of basic mathematical skills and numeracy
  • Skilled in interpersonal communication including written and verbal skills
  • Ability to manage physical duties like lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking/standing
  • Familiarity with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uniform standards

Job Duties

  • Utilize standardized recipes and production guidelines to bake a variety of goods
  • Ensure your workstation is equipped with all the necessary ingredients and tools for baking
  • Put together the components by quantifying, weighing, blending, chopping, and carrying out other necessary preparations
  • Engage with baking devices such as ovens, cookers, and mixers
  • Practice safe handling of utensils, like knives, while cooking and preparing meals
  • Follow food safety procedures to properly store perishable items
  • Follow proper hygiene protocols by sanitizing work areas, equipment, and utensils after each use
  • Offer outstanding customer service and exhibit a positive attitude when engaging with guests, clients, customers, colleagues, and others
