The OMRF Research Café serves as an essential amenity within this esteemed organization, offering a welcoming and convenient space for both employees and visitors to enjoy meals, snacks, and beverages throughout the workday. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, values customer service, and maintains high standards of efficiency, reliability, and attention to detail. The Research Café team member will be responsible for preparing hot and cold foods, efficiently managing cooking stations such as the grill and charbroiled area, and ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the café. Additional responsibilities include setting up and breaking down events held on-site, managing inventory and supplies, operating the cash register, washing dishes, and assisting with menu planning which includes daily and weekly specials. A key aspect of this position is maintaining a positive, customer-focused attitude that creates a welcoming environment for all patrons. The work schedule is typically 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM, with occasional additional hours required for events with advance notice. This position also requires some physical activity including lifting up to 50 pounds, with accommodations provided as needed. Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred
  • a valid OKC Certified Food Service Operator Certificate is a plus
  • 2 years of back-of-house or kitchen experience

Job Duties

  • Preparing hot and cold food quickly and efficiently handling the grill and charbroiled station
