Job Description

Ring's End, Inc. is a well-established Connecticut-based lumber and building materials retailer with a rich history dating back to 1902. As a third-generation family-run company, Ring's End has grown to serve the Connecticut area, South County Rhode Island, and Westchester County, New York. The company is recognized for its tradition of service and a commitment to innovation, positioning itself as a premier resource in the building materials industry. Ring's End caters to a wide range of clients including builders and remodelers, painting contractors, architects, and homeowners. Their success is driven by a dedicated team of professionals who foster a diverse and evolving work environment that values cooperation, teamwork, continuous innovation, and improvement.

The company is currently seeking a full-time Kitchen & Bath Designer who is skilled, creative, and sales-driven to join their dynamic design team. This role involves meeting customers in the showroom to showcase materials and services, assisting them in selecting finishes, and developing design ideas that bring their home remodeling visions to life. The position offers a competitive salary plus commission and a comprehensive benefits package including traditional and Roth 401(k) plans with a 3% safe harbor company contribution, various medical insurance plans, Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Dependent Care Account (DCA), employee discounts, life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance, long and short-term disability coverage, paid holidays, paid time off (PTO), an employee assistance program, and legal counseling services.

As a Kitchen & Bath Designer at Ring's End, the candidate will use computer-aided drafting tools to create precise floor plans and cabinet elevations. They will also develop detailed material estimates for projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality and integrity. The role demands a creative and dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving unique design challenges. Customer service excellence is paramount, as the designer will manage relationships not only with homeowners but also with contractors throughout the project lifecycle from initial contact to construction completion. The position requires effective communication skills, organizational ability, attention to detail, a strong work ethic, safety prioritization, and being a respectful team player. Candidates experienced in kitchen or bath design who are adaptable to change and knowledgeable about cabinetry and countertop materials are ideal.

If you are passionate about design, eager to work in a supportive and innovative environment, and ready to contribute your expertise to a respected company with over a century of tradition, this Kitchen & Bath Designer opportunity with Ring's End awaits you. With an exciting career path, competitive compensation including sales commissions, and a robust benefits package, joining Ring's End means becoming part of a family-oriented company committed to growth and employee success.
