Job Requirements
- must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to employees, dining room staff, and guests
- must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to six hours in length
- must have the ability to lift pots, pans, etc., up to 40 pounds in weight
- must be able to read and write to facilitate communication
- must possess finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment
- prior experience is preferred but not required
- part-time and full-time opportunities available
Job Qualifications
- prior experience as cook, line cook, chef, prep cook, grill cook or fry cook preferred
- strong communication skills to speak clearly and listen attentively
- ability to read and write for effective communication
- finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and kitchen equipment
- capacity to stand and exert mobility for up to six hours
- ability to lift weights up to 40 pounds
Job Duties
- complete all assigned prep work and set up cook's station
- maintain product presentations, product quality and cook time standards
- prepare all menu items according to Applebee's recipes, plate presentations and specifications
- ensure cleanliness and organization of the cooking area
- assist with inventory management and stock supplies
- follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- collaborate with kitchen and dining room staff to ensure smooth service
