Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in food preparation or kitchen work preferred
- ability to follow detailed instructions and recipes
- ability to maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards
- physical ability to perform manual labor associated with kitchen duties
- willingness to learn and cross-train in multiple kitchen stations
Job Qualifications
- good communication skills
- able to lift 25 to 50 pounds
- able to use knives, slicing and other food preparation equipment
- able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods up to six hours
- previous kitchen experience preferred
Job Duties
- complete all assigned prep work
- set up cooks station
- maintain product presentations
- maintain product quality
- maintain cook time standards
- prepare all menu items according to restaurant's recipes, plate presentations and specifications
- set up equipment
- verify stock
- clean cooking equipment
- prepare food items to specification while maintaining a clean work area
- cross-train and learn other stations and positions in the kitchen
