Job Requirements
- Prefer six months plus experience as a line cook, but not required
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of various types of cooking equipment and cooking methods
- able to maintain and follow health / sanitation standards and procedures
- communication skills include speaking clearly and distinctly, the use of proper grammar, as well as skilled at active listening
- requires availability on weekends and/or holidays, possible overtime, and possibly alternating shift work
Job Duties
- Maintain station throughout shift with necessary inventory to produce menu items
- be knowledgeable of daily specials and menu items
- maintain work area and kitchen area in sanitary condition according to company / health department standards
- inform immediate supervisor(s) and wait staff of any items currently not in stock (86 items)
- requisition menu items as necessary and assist in prepping items as needed
- complete any assigned duties at end of shift before clocking out
- be constantly alert of any security and/or safety issues and notify supervisor of any perceived security and/or safety threats
- maintain an organized and clean work area
- always practice and ensure a safe work environment
- exhibit teamwork and cooperation by performing other duties as needed, required, asked, or directed
