Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • must live within one hour of Denver, CO (APA) or Durango, CO (DRO) or be willing to relocate
  • ability to work 12-hour shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • strong working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs)
  • current First Class Medical Certificate and Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
  • minimum flight experience including 2,500 hours total time, 500 hours multi-engine, and 1,000 hours PIC
  • proven impeccable safety record
  • single-pilot, mountain terrain experience preferred
  • fluent in spoken and written English

Job Duties

  • Operating the King Air 200 as a single-pilot in air ambulance operations
  • maintaining readiness at Denver, CO (APA) and Durango, CO (DRO) facilities for critical-care flights averaging 800 miles throughout the Front Range and surrounding states
  • performing thorough pre-flight inspections, ensuring aircraft airworthiness, and complying with FAA and company regulations
  • supervising the safe loading of patients, medical crew, equipment, and baggage, ensuring weight and balance standards are met
  • coordinating with ground crews and medical teams to ensure efficient communication and mission success
  • upholding FAA regulations, Flight for Life procedures, company flight operations manuals, and contributing to Mayo Aviation's Safety Management System
