Job Description
This job opportunity is with a restaurant independently owned and operated by a franchisee, meaning that the franchisee will review applications and make hiring decisions independently. If you are hired, the franchisee will be your direct employer and responsible for all employment-related matters. The restaurant is part of KFC, a globally recognized brand in the fast-food industry famous for its delicious southern-style fried chicken and commitment to providing exceptional customer service. KFC’s value goes beyond simply feeding people – it’s about fulfilling lives by offering meals that not only satisfy hunger but bring joy and positive experiences to customers. KFC prides itself on a culture of southern hospitality, making every customer’s day better through friendly service and quality food.
The role offered is the Assistant Restaurant Manager position, designed for individuals who aspire to run their own business but may not know where to begin. This position places you as second in command at a high-performing restaurant location with annual revenues exceeding $1 million. Working closely with the Restaurant General Manager, you will help grow the business by ensuring customers receive outstanding meals with a welcoming smile. The position requires leadership skills to create a cohesive and motivated team environment. Leaders in this role contribute to a positive workplace culture, maintaining high standards for both themselves and their team members.
The Assistant Restaurant Manager position is much more than just a job; it’s about independence, enjoyment, and developing important business skills. You will have the opportunity to learn through comprehensive training tailored to give you the knowledge and tools necessary to succeed. This training covers all aspects of restaurant operations, helping you develop skills in management, customer service, team building, and business growth. You’ll face the daily challenges and excitement that come with managing a restaurant, embracing the dynamic nature of the industry where no two days are the same.
What makes this position particularly appealing is the supportive culture within KFC. The company seeks individuals who are honest, energetic, motivational, and fun—people who fit into the great family environment that has been cultivated at each location. If you are passionate about providing quality service, leading by example, and fostering an upbeat workplace for your team, this role is a great fit.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation. Since the role may occasionally require driving for tasks such as making deposits for the restaurant, public transportation is not sufficient. Your eagerness to learn and grow professionally will be highly valued as you take on the responsibilities tied to this leadership position.
Overall, the Assistant Restaurant Manager at KFC offers an exciting pathway to business leadership in a respected global brand with a local franchisee environment, combining hands-on operational experience with meaningful team leadership. If you want to be a key player in a winning team and make a positive impact each day, this is an excellent opportunity to advance your career and be part of the vibrant KFC family.
