Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in food preparation or culinary services
  • Ability to follow dietary plan specifications accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
  • Ability to work part-time evenings and weekends including rotating weekends and holidays
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to use computer systems for communication and scheduling

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a senior living setting is preferred
  • Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident's families, and employees
  • Must possess advanced computer skills, including email use

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve food and meals in accordance with planned menus, diet plans, recipes, portions, and temperature control procedures
  • Direct and assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment and floors, dishes, and utensils
  • Check all trays for menu and diet requirements and preference and accuracy
  • Ensure proper storage for food and supplies
  • Review and process diet changes and ensure menus are maintained and followed in accordance with established procedures
