Job Description

The role offered is a strategic leadership position as an Assistant Foods Operations Manager. The Assistant Foods Operations Manager will be responsible for assisting the Foods Operations Manager in leading and directing the Foods Division. The key objective of the role is to ensure a high-quality food and beverage experience for guests while achieving budgeted revenue, cost, and profit goals. This involves ownership of P&L responsibilities along with business planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.

This role requires a dedicated leader who will coach, empower, and provide feedback to direct reports, ensuring accountability for individual results, and maintaining a positive work environment that aligns with the company’s Great Place Six (GP6) culture. Operational duties include managing staffing needs, labor deployment, safety adherence, and compliance with food handling and storage requirements. The Assistant Foods Operations Manager is also expected to maintain strict compliance with payment card industry standards and oversee financial procedures such as cash handling and inventory management.

Success in this position requires flexibility in working days, hours, and locations, along with a readiness to perform additional duties and make decisions as necessary. The role is integral to driving guest loyalty through exceptional service delivery at all touchpoints, aspiring to exceed brand standards and expectations. The Assistant Foods Operations Manager will actively monitor department and park operations and participate in period-end P&L meetings, preparing and executing action plans for operational improvement. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary School Diploma or Degree in Food Service Management or related field highly preferred
  • Minimum 2 years' multi-unit service management experience
  • Experience in the theme park, tourism, hospitality or entertainment industry preferred
  • Strong business acumen and proven track record of financial growth
  • Skilled in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, Outlook
  • ServSafe Certified or ability to become ServSafe, Allertrain, and TIPS certified within 30 days

Job Duties

  • Assist Foods Operations Manager with leading and directing the Foods Division
  • Ensure high-quality food and beverage experience while achieving budgeted revenue, cost and profit goals
  • Lead direct reports by coaching, empowering and providing feedback
  • Own area of responsibility P&L, business planning, budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Ensure high level of guest service exceeding brand standards
  • Lead safety efforts and ensure compliance with safety requirements
  • Communicate staffing needs and clearance reports timely
  • Lead deployment of labor across multiple food and beverage outlets
  • Collaborate with scheduling team to ensure schedules and budgeted labor percentage
  • Model Great Place Six (GP6) behavior and create a positive work environment
  • Coach and praise hosts effectively
  • Provide honest and timely host evaluations
  • Monitor POS and cash handling procedures
  • Ensure weekly inventories are completed and accurate
  • Develop and execute action plans for business shortfalls
  • Monitor department and park operations as Person in Charge
  • Assist with developing and updating plans regarding restaurant operations, performance evaluations, job descriptions, policies, procedures and budgets
  • Maintain flexibility in working days, hours, locations and properties
  • Perform additional duties and make decisions as requested
  • Complete credit card transactions in compliance with PCI standards
