The Foods Operations Manager Assistant role is an integral leadership position within the Foods Division, tasked with supporting the Foods Operations Manager in achieving revenue, cost, and profit goals while ensuring that brand standards and guest service expectations are consistently met or exceeded. This full-time position requires an individual who is adept at managing the operational and financial aspects of multiple food and beverage outlets, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reviewing profit and loss statements. The assistant manager will lead and develop direct reports through coaching, empowerment, and constructive feedback, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.

This role demands strong business acumen, effective communication skills, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving. The Foods Operations Manager Assistant will play a key role in labor deployment and scheduling, adapting quickly to changes in attendance and park operations to optimize costs and improve guest engagement. Safety compliance is a critical responsibility, with expectations for active participation in safety committee meetings and enforcement of safety protocols across the division.

Candidates must exhibit flexibility in work hours and locations to meet operational needs and show proficiency in managing all aspects of food safety, cash handling, inventory control, and guest interactions. The role involves routine monitoring of POS systems, ensuring adherence to payment card industry standards and regulatory compliance related to food and beverage services. Additionally, the Foods Operations Manager Assistant will handle administrative duties such as updating operational policies, conducting performance evaluations, and maintaining clear communication with team members and vendors.

Job Requirements

  • Must be 20 years of age or older

  • Comply with Health Dept, ServSafe, ABC, and Company regulations
  • Writing daily, weekly, and monthly paperwork
  • Reading and comprehension of recipes, menus, P&Ls, budgets, etc.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary School Diploma or Degree in Food Service Management or related field highly preferred
  • Minimum 2 years multi-unit service management experience
  • Proven track record of advancement to higher levels of management
  • Experience in theme park, tourism, hospitality or entertainment industry preferred
  • Strong business acumen with proven financial growth record
  • Skilled in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
  • ServSafe Certified or ability to become ServSafe, Allertrain, and TIPS certified within first 30 days

Job Duties

  • Assist the Foods Operations Manager with leading and directing the Foods Division
  • Ensure high-quality food and beverage experience while achieving budgeted revenue, cost and profit goals
  • Lead direct reports by coaching, empowering and providing feedback
  • Manage ownership of area P&L, business planning, budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Ensure a high level of guest service exceeding brand standards and expectations
  • Lead safety efforts and ensure compliance with safety requirements
  • Communicate staffing needs and clearance reports timely
  • Deploy labor efficiently across food and beverage outlets
  • Collaborate with scheduling team to achieve budgeted labor percentage
  • Create a positive work environment with high engagement and job satisfaction
  • Coach and evaluate Hosts effectively
  • Monitor POS and cash handling procedures
  • Develop and execute action plans to address business shortfalls
  • Monitor department and park operations as Person in Charge
  • Assist with updating restaurant operations, evaluations and policies
  • Maintain flexibility in working days, hours, locations and properties
  • Complete credit card transactions per PCI Data Security Standards
