Job Description

Flanigan's is a well-established restaurant and bar chain known for delivering exceptional dining experiences across their multiple locations. The company operates in vibrant dining rooms, lively bars, and inviting patios, ensuring a dynamic and enjoyable atmosphere for guests. Flanigan's commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction has made it a popular choice for casual dining and social gatherings. Employees at Flanigan's benefit from a supportive workplace culture, comprehensive training, and opportunities for growth within the hospitality industry. This role is offered as a full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits that reflect the dedication and hard work of its team members.

The Busser position at Flanigan's is crucial to maintaining the smooth operation of the restaurant and ensuring that guests have an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. Bussers act as the backbone of the service team, working behind the scenes to clean, set up, and prepare the dining areas efficiently and effectively. Their duties include clearing tables, cleaning glassware and dishes, removing trash and debris, and maintaining the cleanliness of restrooms, patios, parking areas, and waiting sections. This role requires physical stamina as it involves frequent bending, stooping, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in various indoor and outdoor environments, sometimes in damp or high-temperature conditions.

Bussers also support servers and bartenders by setting up tables promptly for new guests, sanitizing high chairs and booster seats, and assisting with shift changes, opening and closing duties, and assigned sidework. The position emphasizes adherence to safety and sanitation policies, and bussers must complete and pass required certifications, including the Florida Responsible Vendor program and food safety certification. Communication skills are important, as the ability to speak, read, and write English is required for effective interaction with team members and guests. The work schedule involves a five-day workweek, with paid vacation benefits increasing with tenure, and other perks that contribute to a positive working environment. Employees also have access to medical and dental insurance programs, a 401K plan with immediate eligibility for those over 21, and discounted shift meals. This comprehensive setup not only supports the daily operations of Flanigan's but also promotes a balanced and rewarding career for bussers who thrive in fast-paced hospitality settings.
