Job Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in the hospitality or wine industry
  • Basic understanding of wine varietals, regions, and pairing principles
  • Certification from a recognized wine education program such as WSET or CMS (Level 1 minimum preferred)
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physically demanding tasks
  • Professional appearance and attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Assist the Head Sommelier in managing and maintaining the wine list and cellar inventory
  • Recommend wines to guests based on preferences, menu selections, and pairing principles
  • Serve wine in accordance with proper etiquette and service standards
  • Educate guests and staff on wine offerings, regions, and pairings
  • Participate in regular tastings, staff trainings, and vendor meetings
  • Monitor wine storage conditions and ensure the proper care of inventory
  • Support service staff during floor shifts, contributing to a seamless and polished dining experience
  • Stay informed on wine trends, new producers, and vintages
