The Pastry Junior Sous Chef role at Maxime's is an exciting opportunity to join a world-class culinary brigade based in the club's Commissary Kitchen located in the Bronx. The position involves working closely with the pastry team, supporting the Pastry Sous Chef in preparing and presenting a diverse range of high-quality pastries and desserts.

In this role, the Junior Sous Chef will have significant responsibilities including leading the pastry team during the absence of senior chefs, ensuring meticulous quality control from proofing and baking to finishing and garnishing, and collaborating on seasonal menu development and recipe testing. Job Duties

  • Support and assist the pastry sous chef in the preparation, execution, and presentation of high-quality patisserie and desserts
  • lead the pastry team during preparation in the absence of the senior chefs
  • ensure consistency and quality control across all pastry items, from proofing and baking to finishing and garnishing
  • collaborate on seasonal menu development and recipe testing
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry work area
  • assist in inventory management and ordering of pastry supplies
  • comply with all safety and hygiene standards
