The role available within Product Connections focuses on preparing juice and other specialty products for purchase, alongside conducting product demonstrations to support business needs. This is a hands-on position based in a retail store environment that requires a strong commitment to food safety, sanitation, and customer interaction. The individual in this role will be responsible for setting up and preparing areas for specialized food products, following detailed program instructions and safety requirements to ensure compliance and quality. The position demands physical stamina, including the ability to lift heavy items and operate machinery safely. Regular communication and reporting, as well as ongoing certification and training, are key components to staying aligned with company standards and expectations.

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities but involves collaborative work with teammates, particularly during event set-up and clean-up. The environment is dynamic, involving exposure to refrigerated conditions, hot equipment, and a variety of food products. The role requires excellent communication skills in English, with bilingual skills being a plus depending on business needs. Job Requirements

  • Ability to continuously lift a minimum of 50 lbs several times per day
  • Ability to push wheeled machines ranging from 50 to 600 lbs to/from sales floor
  • Experience with preparation of foods using produce, machinery and sharp utensils
  • Ability to stand for extended periods each day
  • Willingness to work varied hours throughout the day
  • Ability to climb using a 6-foot step stool when necessary
  • Visual ability to read instructions to ensure safety and food safety compliance
  • Ability to work in environments with exposure to cold, refrigerated conditions and hot equipment
  • Ability to sit, stand, talk, hear and use hands and fingers to operate computer peripherals
  • Ability to listen, understand spoken information and communicate effectively
  • Ability to read and comprehend written information
  • Ability to interact with customers and understand speech

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in product marketing, product demonstrations or the food, beverage or restaurant industry preferred
  • Ability to safely and effectively prepare juice or other specialty products for purchase
  • Ability to conduct demonstrations and sampling events as needed
  • Applicable state and local food safety certification or license

Job Duties

  • Properly set up and prepare the area for specialized food products
  • Fully read materials accompanying product demonstrations to understand program scope, instructions, production requirements and program compliance
  • Follow all safety requirements when using equipment, practice proper lifting techniques when working with boxes or heavy merchandise
  • Adhere to all required tasks and procedures related to safe food handling, preparation, production, packaging, labeling, merchandising and disposal
  • Accurately complete all reporting requirements including online requirements
  • Regularly check the product event schedule and email for upcoming activities, corporate news updates, event changes, instructions, and supervisor requests
  • Complete certifications and attend special training sessions as required
  • Follow safety and compliance guidelines for appropriate machine operation, cleaning and maintenance
  • Maintain a clean, sterile and safe work area using proper cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Assist teammates with event setup or cleanup and with kitchen duties when needed
  • Conduct food sampling and demonstrations supporting business needs
  • Follow general setup and teardown guidelines
