The role of Juice and Specialty Product Preparer is vital within this vibrant agency. This position is responsible for the precise and safe preparation of juice and other specialty products for customer purchase, ensuring exceptional quality and adherence to food safety standards. Candidates in this role must demonstrate proficiency in preparing and handling products with care and efficiency, often engaging in direct consumer interactions through demonstrations or sampling events. The job requires physical endurance and the ability to operate machinery and manage heavy equipment safely, as well as keen attention to detail in following health regulations and workplace safety protocols. Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in product marketing or product demonstrations
  • Experience in the food, beverage or restaurant industry preferred
  • Ability to safely and effectively prepare juice or other specialty products for purchase
  • Ability to conduct demonstrations and sampling events
  • Applicable state and local food safety certification or license
  • Ability to continuously lift a minimum of 50 lbs several times per day
  • Ability to push wheeled machinery weighing 50-600 lbs to/from the sales floor
  • Ability to prepare foods using produce, machinery and sharp utensils
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work varied hours throughout the day
  • Ability to climb using a 6-foot step stool when necessary
  • Visual ability to read instructions for safety and compliance
  • Ability to work in environments with exposure to cold, refrigerated conditions and hot equipment
  • Ability to sit, stand, talk, hear and use hands and fingers to operate computer peripherals
  • Ability to listen, understand, read, and communicate information effectively
  • Ability to identify and understand speech to interact with customers

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in product marketing or product demonstrations
  • Experience in the food, beverage or restaurant industry preferred
  • Ability to safely and effectively prepare juice or other specialty products for purchase
  • Ability to conduct demonstrations and sampling events
  • Applicable state and local food safety certification or license

Job Duties

  • Properly set up and prepare the area for specialized food products
  • Fully read materials that accompany product demonstrations to understand program scope, instructions, production requirements and program compliance
  • Follow all safety requirements when using equipment such as hot machinery or sharp blades and practice proper lifting techniques
  • Adhere to all required tasks and procedures related to safe food handling, preparation, production, packaging, labeling, merchandising and disposal
  • Accurately complete all reporting requirements including online requirements as required
  • Regularly check the product event schedule and email for upcoming activities, corporate news updates, event changes and instructions, and supervisor requests
  • Conduct food sampling and demonstrations in support of the needs of business following general setup and teardown guidelines
