The role of the JR Sous Chef at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark is a part-time seasonal position offering competitive pay at $16.00 per hour. It is primarily event-based and runs from April through September, reflecting the stadium's active season. In this role, you will directly supervise food-service associates while ensuring compliance with all company policies, health regulations, and food safety standards. Your responsibilities will include training new employees, assigning and overseeing daily tasks, conducting performance appraisals, and coaching to maintain high standards of service and culinary quality. You will also be responsible for managing inventory with a focus on minimizing waste and ensuring product availability for each event, using approved recipes and production standards. The JR Sous Chef plays a crucial role in ensuring that all food is prepared to exact standards regarding quality, portion control, and serving temperatures.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of culinary leadership experience
- ability to obtain ServSafe Food Handler certification if not already certified
- strong supervisory and communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- willingness to work part-time seasonal shifts from April to September
- knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP guidelines
- ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely
- physical ability to handle demanding kitchen tasks

Job Duties

- maintains established food rotations in storage to minimize spoilage and waste
- follows HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply
- operates food-service equipment in a safe manner and according to established policies and procedures
- helps serve meals
- remains present during scheduled meal periods to receive customer comments and feedback
- performs other duties as assigned
- abides by all company policies and procedures including the use of medium weight cut gloves, oven mitts, fryer gloves or steamer gloves when handling hot pans, slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques
