Job Requirements
- 3 plus years experience in environmental services or facility management
- knowledge of effective management and supervision principles
- understanding of group and interpersonal dynamics
- proficiency in written and oral communication
- experience in program planning and implementation
- knowledge of hazardous material and waste storage, treatment and disposal
- proficiency with computer systems and applications
- excellent presentation and interpersonal skills

- leadership experience managing housekeeping operations
- experience recruiting, interviewing, hiring and developing staff

- experience monitoring and maintaining payroll, supply, equipment and operational budgets
- scheduling experience for workforce management
Job Qualifications
- Three or more years of experience in environmental services or related fields
- strong leadership and supervisory skills
- knowledge of principles and practices of effective management and supervision, including long- and short-range planning
- understanding of group and interpersonal dynamics
- excellent written and oral communication techniques
- proficiency in program planning and implementation
- familiarity with hazardous material and hazardous waste storage, treatment and disposal
- computer system and application skills
- excellent presentation and interpersonal skills with ability to interact at all organizational levels
- strong customer service orientation with high sense of urgency
- ability to work in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment
Job Duties
- Supervise all personnel in the Environmental Services Department
- responsible for housekeeping department and linen service
- leads staff in achieving a safe, clean, and pleasant environment for patients, visitors and staff
- maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety throughout facility grounds
- plan and coordinate work schedules and assign staff to established work areas and duties
- facilitates monthly departmental staff meetings and development/training courses
- provide individual guidance and motivation to employees to ensure an engaged workforce
- review patient satisfaction data monthly to ensure and maintain excellence in cleanliness and patient experience
- assign equipment to staff
- monitor daily equipment use, cleaning and maintenance
- ensure all equipment is clean and in working condition at all times
- maintain linen supply
- oversee biohazards program
- participate in Safety Committee
- maintain Joint Commission regulatory compliance within Environmental Services
