The opportunity available is for a Porter to join KBS's Janitorial Services Team. This is an hourly, non-exempt position with a starting pay of $16.90 per hour and shifts available from 10pm to 6am. This role is well-suited for individuals eager to jumpstart their career in facility services and become part of a growing team that offers leadership opportunities.

The Porter plays a critical role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and customer service at client sites that often experience heavy traffic and high volumes of work. Responsibilities include interacting closely with customers daily, prioritizing work based on immediate customer requirements, and ensuring janitorial duties are fulfilled efficiently and effectively. The Porter must have broad knowledge of cleaning processes and janitorial techniques, and possess excellent customer service skills to support positive client relations throughout each shift.

Moreover, the role requires physical stamina, as Porters will need to lift items up to 49 pounds, stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods—up to 10 to 12 hours. The ability to communicate clearly and carry out detailed or written instructions is essential, as is the capacity to interpret safety documents and procedures, typically in English, with support for Spanish when legally required. KBS supports the use of mobile technology for timekeeping and training through the KBSPresence app, and provides reimbursement for cellphone use in compliance with local laws.
