The company seeks a full-time Janitor to join their team, offering a starting pay rate of $17.33 per hour. In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the manufacturing facility and its grounds, contributing to a safe and pleasant working environment. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Janitor will follow safety protocols and handle equipment and supplies accordingly. Daily duties include cleaning restrooms, loading docks, stockrooms, shipping areas, assembly floors, and the machine shop. The role also involves collecting trash and debris on company property, including plant beds and parking lots, and performing seasonal outdoor maintenance such as snow shoveling on walkways and driveways. Additionally, the Janitor will conduct weekly plant-wide preventative cleaning and maintenance tasks, including inspecting and testing emergency exit lights, cleaning fire alarm and strobe lights, and checking safety lights. Monthly responsibilities include inspecting fire extinguishers, cleaning compressor rooms, dock doors, and more to ensure the plant meets safety and cleanliness standards.
