Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of custodial or janitorial experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
- ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch frequently
- ability to lift and carry supplies, equipment, or trash bags typically weighing 25-50 pounds
- tolerance for exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and varying temperatures, especially when working outdoors
- availability to work early mornings, nights, and weekends
- must have good eyesight and ability to communicate over two-way radios

Job Duties
- Actively participate in daily cleaning tasks alongside the janitorial team to ensure facility cleanliness and model best practices
- supervise, mentor, and evaluate janitorial staff performance
- inspect completed tasks for quality assurance and provide real-time feedback and corrective instruction
- conduct onboarding and ongoing training in cleaning protocols, safety procedures, and customer service
- foster a positive team culture that values accountability and pride in work
- create and maintain work schedules for the janitorial team based on operational needs
- monitor usage and maintain stock of cleaning supplies and PPE
- coordinate maintenance and repair of janitorial equipment
- research and recommend new tools or products to improve departmental efficiency
- track attendance, timekeeping, and task completion
- stay updated on public health guidelines and adjust cleaning practices as needed
- respond promptly to service requests, complaints, or special cleaning needs
- collaborate with maintenance, security, or event teams to align cleaning with broader operations
- serve as liaison between janitorial staff and management
- attend interdepartmental meetings and participate in planning for events requiring housekeeping support including weekends, holidays, and evenings
- perform all other duties as assigned
