Established in 1909, ABM has grown to become one of the world’s largest providers in this industry, serving over 20,000 clients with more than 100,000 employees worldwide. The company operates across numerous sectors, including commercial office buildings, universities, airports, hospitals, data centers, manufacturing plants, entertainment venues, and more. ABM’s extensive portfolio includes janitorial, engineering, parking, electrical and lighting, energy and EV charging infrastructure, HVAC and mechanical, landscape and turf, and mission-critical solutions. The company is committed to sustainability, health, and safety, aiming to create cleaner, healthier, and more environmentally responsible spaces.

The role available at ABM is for a part-time Cleaner position, offering $16.00 per hour with a schedule of two days per week. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals who are either just starting their careers or re-entering the workforce with limited experience or education. ABM prides itself on promoting career growth from this foundational role, with many current leaders having begun their journey as Cleaners. This position requires individuals to be flexible, diligent, and committed to maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of assigned areas, which can vary widely—from aircraft and hospitals to schools and commercial buildings.

The Cleaner’s responsibilities are diverse and fundamental to the overall operation of facility maintenance. Key tasks include cleaning carpets, hard floors, windows, restrooms, furniture, and other surfaces. The role also entails dusting, waste removal, and the use of chemical cleaners and equipment while adhering to safety and quality standards. Cleaners must maintain effective communication with supervisors, co-workers, and clients to ensure service standards are met efficiently. Seasonal duties like sweeping walkways, raking leaves, or snow removal may also be part of the role. ABM values veterans and military experience, encouraging candidates with such backgrounds to apply, recognizing the unique skills and discipline that military service brings. This position provides a solid foundation for growth within ABM’s extensive network and access to comprehensive training programs.

ABM also offers a comprehensive benefits package, reflecting their commitment to their employees’ well-being and professional development. The company is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and inclusion and provides accommodations for individuals with disabilities.
