This extensive portfolio positions ABM as a crucial contributor to maintaining and enhancing the spaces and facilities that organizations and individuals rely on daily.
The role of a Cleaner at ABM is integral to sustaining the pristine condition and functionality of client facilities. This position is ideal for individuals entering the workforce, returning after a hiatus, or those seeking a role offering on-the-job training with minimal prior experience requirements. Cleaners are responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of assigned areas, involving a variety of tasks such as cleaning and dusting furniture, fixtures, floors, walls, ceilings, and equipment, as well as managing waste removal and seasonal duties like snow and leaf removal. Following strict procedures in the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment is essential to prevent damage while maintaining safety standards. The role demands vigilance and communication skills to notify management of needed repairs or additions to building systems. Additionally, Cleaners establish and maintain productive relationships with clients and colleagues, contributing to a positive team environment and supporting ABM's commitment to quality and compliance with safety, security, and regulatory guidelines.
At ABM, employment as a Cleaner comes with the assurance of comprehensive support through a robust benefits package that addresses various aspects of employee well-being, including health, dental, and paid time off benefits. ABM’s dedication to diversity and inclusion is evident, as they are an equal opportunity employer welcoming all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status. ABM is particularly supportive of veterans, encouraging those with military experience to apply, with training programs designed to help transition military skills into successful civilian careers. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, and no formal educational credentials are required since extensive on-the-job training is provided. This opportunity serves as a stepping stone for individuals seeking meaningful employment in a supportive and expansive company environment that values safety, integrity, and excellence in facility management.
