This role involves performing essential housekeeping and day porter duties to ensure all store locations are clean, organized, and stocked as per operational standards. It includes floor care such as washing, buffing, and maintenance of tile and carpet surfaces, as well as cleaning restrooms regularly to maintain hygiene with supplies kept stocked. Employees will be responsible for managing trash removal and sterilizing trash bins, as well as detailed cleaning tasks involving equipment, gondolas, corner guards, and machinery. Organizational responsibilities extend to the backroom, ensuring stock of cleaning chemicals and efficient storage systems. The role requires physical capability to handle lifting and operation of machinery and is suited to candidates comfortable with mobile applications used for payroll and timekeeping. Compliance with company dress code and safety regulations, including wearing slip-resistant shoes and a uniform shirt with virtual ID badge, is mandatory.
The housekeeping position requires availability for shifts that range between 4 to 6 hours during early morning hours (4 am to 10 am) with potential overnight shifts once a week for day porter roles, available on some locations. Working overnights, weekends, and holiday blackout periods are essential parts of this role, ensuring store operational readiness during peak retail seasons. The company prefers candidates with strong attention to detail, health and safety consciousness, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team to maintain store appearance and safety at all times. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in housekeeping or janitorial roles preferred
- familiarity with floor cleaning and maintenance equipment
- ability to follow safety protocols and company policies
- mobile application proficiency for payroll and timekeeping tasks
- good physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor tasks
Job Duties
- Wash, buff, and maintain tile and carpet floors
- clean restrooms and maintain soap and paper stocked
- clean and disinfect trash bins
- remove stains from carpets
- detailed cleaning of gondolas, corner guards, and machinery after use
- pick up trash throughout the store including the front
- maintain the backroom organized and stocked with chemicals provided
