Job Description

Our company is a prominent establishment in the retail sector, known for maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments across all our store locations. We operate stores open seven days a week and pride ourselves on offering part-time employment opportunities, with a focus on balancing employee needs and operational requirements. We are currently looking to hire Housekeeping Regular staff for part-time roles with a competitive pay rate starting at $15.00 per hour, with compensation up to $18.00 per hour depending on experience. The positions come with a variety of shift options tailored to location availability, including early morning shifts such as 4 am to 9 am (5 hours), 4 am to 10 am (6 hours), and 6 am to 10 am (4 hours). Overnight shifts are occasionally required, typically one day per week from 12 am to 8 am, for those qualified as Day Porters. All Day Porter shifts are 4 hours long with no overtime. We emphasize the importance of flexibility, requiring candidates who are available to work weekends, holidays, and blackout dates, including the end of year period.

Housekeeping Regular staff play a crucial role in maintaining the overall appearance and sanitation of the store environment. This includes tasks like washing, buffing, and maintaining tile and carpet floors to ensure safety and cleanliness. Responsibilities also cover cleaning restrooms thoroughly, stocking soap and paper supplies, and disinfecting trash bins. Removing carpet stains, cleaning structural fixtures such as gondolas and corner guards, and cleaning machinery post-use are essential aspects of the role. Employees are responsible for trash removal throughout the store area, including the front entrance, and ensuring the backroom remains organized and stocked with cleaning chemicals.

We require all employees to uphold strict safety and uniform standards. Slip-resistant shoes and a uniform T-shirt are mandatory during shifts, and we prohibit leggings, shorts, audio headphones, and require closed-toe shoes at all times. Physical requirements include lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds and operating equipment weighing up to 200 pounds, emphasizing the importance of physical mobility as the role requires bending, kneeling, and reaching to clean all necessary areas.

Technological competency is essential, as employees must be proficient with mobile applications related to payroll and timekeeping to effectively manage hours and payments.
