Job Description

The Facilities Group Hawaii (TFG HI) is a reputable and established company that has been providing top-notch facilities maintenance services to leading businesses across Hawaii for more than 50 years. Formed from the combination of two local companies, TFG HI has built a solid reputation for delivering comprehensive commercial building maintenance and cleaning services that meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. Their extensive service offerings include daily janitorial work, carpet cleaning, floor stripping and coating, pressure washing, sanitizing, and general building maintenance and repairs. The company’s longstanding presence in Hawaii speaks to its commitment to excellence, client satisfaction, and community engagement, making it a trusted partner across various industries including education, medical facilities, financial institutions, and professional office environments.

TFG HI is currently seeking Janitor Floaters — dynamic and reliable professionals who will service various client properties throughout the island. These properties range from individual office suites to larger buildings and specialized facilities. Janitor Floaters are vital members of the operations team and act as direct representatives of the company; their role ensures that client spaces are clean, safe, and presentable to employees and visitors alike. This position requires individuals who are hardworking, self-motivated, and possess a strong commitment to service excellence and problem solving.

In this role, candidates will play an important front-line role within an established and respected business. Employees enjoy a competitive starting hourly wage with possibilities to earn performance-based bonuses. The job allows for a consistent schedule at the same location with room for professional development and career growth opportunities. Janitor Floaters must be flexible enough to travel to different client sites within a single shift and are accountable for maintaining high cleanliness standards of office suites, restrooms, and common indoor and outdoor areas. Key responsibilities include effective use of appropriate cleaning products and methods, maintaining reliable attendance and efficiency, and demonstrating high integrity and professionalism at all times.

The successful candidate will possess reliable transportation to navigate between sites and demonstrate clear communication skills with customers and colleagues. Though janitorial or housekeeping experience is highly preferred, it is not required for the position. The company values applicants who are self-starters, capable of prioritizing tasks efficiently and paying exceptional attention to detail. The ability to work nights and weekends is necessary, along with the flexibility and willingness to learn and adhere to company-specific processes.

TFG HI supports a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds and providing reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals per federal and state laws. They use E-Verify for employment authorization, and hiring is contingent on successfully clearing a criminal background check. This is a valuable opportunity to join a company dedicated not only to customer satisfaction but also to creating a respectful and inclusive work environment. Employees benefit from competitive pay, medical benefits, 401K plans, and a workplace culture that values the power of diverse perspectives and teamwork.

The role’s typical working hours are 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM Sunday through Saturday, with additional shifts from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Friday, Saturday, and Monday. This scheduling allows for consistent work-life balance and a clear routine for team members. TFG HI’s continued success relies heavily on its frontline staff’s dedication and professionalism, making this Janitor Floater opportunity a fitting choice for individuals seeking a responsible and rewarding role in facilities maintenance across the Hawaiian islands.
