The role of a Jack Runner at FreezPak Logistics, based in Los Angeles, CA, is a pivotal position that contributes directly to the efficiency and smooth functioning of the warehouse operations. Working under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Jack Runner operates primarily between the afternoon and overnight shifts, with scheduled hours from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm or 10:00 pm to 6:30 am. This nonexempt role is designed for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are committed to supporting the critical logistics processes that keep America’s food supply safe and moving.
As a Jack Runner, you will be responsible for operating electric pallet jacks along with other material handling equipment to transport goods throughout the warehouse. This includes ensuring goods are accurately placed in designated areas, assisting with loading and unloading trucks and containers, and performing regular equipment maintenance checks to guarantee safety and operational efficiency. While warehouse experience is preferred, it is not required, making this an excellent opportunity for motivated candidates seeking to enter the logistics and cold storage industry.
Candidates should be comfortable working in cold storage environments, sometimes as low as -10°F, and be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing necessary physical activities such as standing and walking for extended periods.
