The role of a Jack Runner at FreezPak Logistics is a full-time, nonexempt position based in Suffolk, VA, reporting directly to the Operations Manager. This position is essential in maintaining the smooth operation of the warehouse by operating electric pallet jacks and other material handling equipment utilized to transport goods efficiently across the facility. A Jack Runner plays a critical role in ensuring that all items are accurately placed in their designated areas, assisting with loading and unloading of trucks and containers, and regularly checking and maintaining equipment to guarantee safety and operational efficiency. The role demands a proactive individual who can handle the physical requirements of working in cold storage environments with temperatures as low as -10°F, and lift weights up to 50 lbs. The Jack Runner must be adaptable and skilled in working within a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
