Job Description

Oliver McCrum Wines & Spirits is a distinguished Italian-focused importer specializing in a curated portfolio of family-owned wineries and artisan spirits producers across Italy. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, this growing company is dedicated to authenticity, regional identity, and long-term brand building within the wine and spirits industry. Oliver McCrum Wines & Spirits prides itself on fostering meaningful relationships with its clients and partners by emphasizing quality, hospitality, and thoughtful salesmanship. With a commitment to excellence and a deep passion for Italian vintages, the company continues to enhance its presence by connecting consumers with some of Italy's finest wine and spirit producers.

The role of Sales Representative at Oliver McCrum Wines & Spirits is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and self-motivated individual eager to contribute toward the company’s ongoing growth in the San Francisco and East Bay territories. This full-time position is based locally, requiring a hands-on approach with direct customer interaction—remote work is not an option. The Sales Representative will be instrumental in managing and expanding the company’s footprint by developing and nurturing relationships within the hospitality and retail sectors, conducting tastings, and delivering educational events that highlight the unique qualities of their Italian portfolio. Offering a competitive annual salary range of $70,000 to $72,000, including an annual salary review and a potential performance-based bonus, this position also comes with valuable benefits such as health insurance, flexible paid time off, and a 401K plan.

As a key ambassador of the Oliver McCrum Wines & Spirits brand, the Sales Representative will conduct 15 to 20 in-person sales calls and tastings weekly, targeting both on-premise and off-premise accounts. Duties also include prospecting and opening three to five new accounts per month that align with the company’s distinct portfolio. The role demands excellent organizational skills to manage CRM inputs daily, capturing all tastings, customer communications, and orders in a detailed and timely manner. Candidates must possess a strong passion for Italian wine and spirits, be comfortable with portfolio presentations, and exhibit the ability to work independently as a proactive self-starter. Having an existing network within the hospitality and retail communities in the Bay Area is strongly preferred.

The successful candidate will also demonstrate capability in organizing in-store tastings, staff trainings, and educational events to boost brand awareness consistently. Physical requirements include the ability to lift a box of wine and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, along with access to a reliable vehicle for travel throughout the assigned territory. An expense stipend is provided for these transportation needs. This position represents not only a chance to grow a professional career in the wine and spirits industry but also an opportunity to deeply engage with Italy’s rich beverage heritage and share that passion with a diverse and discerning clientele in one of the country’s most vibrant markets.
