Job Description
Bar Louie is a vibrant local bar known for its stunning, handcrafted drinks, a dynamic selection of beers, and American food that stands out in a unique and comfortable urban atmosphere. The establishment prides itself on being a place where guests can enjoy quality time with old friends while making new ones in an inviting setting. As a part of the Bar Louie family, employees benefit from working with a concept that is not only innovative and continuously growing but also encourages individuality and authentic self-expression. Bar Louie places great emphasis on creating a work environment where employees are valued and celebrated for their unique contributions, fostering a sense of belonging and pride.
This particular role centers around partnering with the Information Technology (IT) team to ensure the alignment of the company’s IT infrastructure with its strategic direction. The individual will play a critical role in supporting IT processes and procedures across a variety of technologies essential to Bar Louie’s operations. A key responsibility is managing and maintaining systems including the Point of Sale (POS) solution, Aloha, as well as VOIP phone systems, cellular devices, PCs, Macs, tablets, printers, networking, and internet connectivity. The position requires a combination of technical acumen and customer service skills to effectively troubleshoot and support diverse IT needs throughout the company.
The role is based out of the company’s office in Addison, Texas, with an expectation to travel up to 20% of the time to meet the demands of the business, including occasional support for new store openings or onsite training sessions. Ideal candidates will have a guest-first mentality paired with a fully engaged, service-oriented attitude. While a college degree is preferred, it is not mandatory. However, strong computer skills and experience with the Aloha POS system are essential. Candidates should possess foundational networking knowledge complemented by a history of support or troubleshooting roles.
The successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding verbal, written, and multitasking skills, along with strong conflict resolution capabilities and business acumen. The ability to influence change within the organization by leveraging trusted working relationships is critical. In addition, candidates must be physically able to sit and stand for 8-10 hours and be willing to commit to over 55 hours per week, including occasional nights and weekends as required.
This position offers the opportunity to play an integral role in driving technological efficiencies and business continuity, including executing the company’s disaster recovery plans. The person in this position also has direct responsibility for conducting end-user training and supporting both new and existing locations. They will evaluate and implement IT procedures and equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and cost containment, thereby supporting the company’s objectives for sustained growth and operational excellence. Overall, this role provides a dynamic and engaging work environment for IT professionals eager to grow within an innovative hospitality company.
