Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management and Information Systems or closely related field
  • At least six years of technology experience supporting applications
  • Ability to obtain CJIS certification
  • Experience working in public safety environment or large call center preferred
  • Availability for extended work hours during emergencies
  • Ability to lead a technical support team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field
  • At least six years of technology experience supporting applications
  • Ability to manage large-scale, high availability systems
  • Experience leading technical support teams
  • Knowledge of emergency dispatch and public safety IT systems
  • CJIS certification or ability to obtain certification
  • Experience in public safety environments or large call centers preferred

Job Duties

  • Support critical emergency applications including Computer-Aided Dispatch system
  • Manage integration with Houston Police and Fire Departments Record Management Systems
  • Oversee connections to mobile data computers and other public safety systems
  • Lead a team developing reports, custom applications, and deploying public safety technology
  • Review and integrate Next Generation 911 applications
  • Ensure high availability and redundancy of large-scale systems
  • Maintain compliance with CJIS certification and security standards
