The company is currently seeking an IT Equipment Management Specialist to join the team at their Liverpool, NY location. This role is crucial in maintaining the availability and operational efficiency of IT equipment including computers, POS systems, network devices, and peripherals, ensuring that technological resources are properly tracked, maintained, and deployed to meet the company’s business needs. The IT Equipment Management Specialist is responsible for receiving, inspecting, cleaning, and inventorying IT hardware, as well as maintaining accurate records in the asset management system, specifically using Service Now. The role also involves creating purchase orders to restock equipment, maintaining product catalogs, and conducting regular inventories to manage stock levels effectively.
In addition to these tasks, the Specialist will support the IT department’s helpdesk by receiving incoming calls, creating service tickets, and routing requests to the appropriate technical support personnel with professionalism and efficiency. Strong customer service skills are essential for this position, as it serves as a key point of interaction between internal customers and the IT team. The environment is fast-paced, requiring flexibility, excellent problem-solving capabilities, and the capacity to communicate technical information in a clear and accessible manner to non-technical users. Candidates must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and demonstrate initiative while following established policies and procedures.
This position offers an hourly pay rate between $23.00 and $25.00 and requires physical capabilities such as lifting up to 50 pounds and climbing ladders up to 6 feet. Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain an accurate inventory are critical to performing well in this role. The ideal candidate will hold at least a high school diploma, with an associate degree and relevant experience preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft products and strong communication skills.

Job Duties
- Receive and input all new hardware into the IT Service Management System
- receive, evaluate, and clean all hardware returned from the field
- ship and deploy all outgoing hardware
- administer the inventory of all IT assets such as laptops, desktops, printers etc. and maintain the asset management database in Service Now
- maintain the Product Catalog and create Purchase Orders to maintain proper inventory levels in Service Now
- weekly inventory of front and back stock and work on Par levels with department managers
- follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all processes
- record tickets and dispatch calls incoming on the technical support line
- build and maintain a strong network of relationships with vendors and internal employees
- communicate with vendors for repairs and track the repair of our assets
- closely track the return of all outstanding equipment from both closing sites and deactivated employees
