The Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) is a key entity within the United States government responsible for safeguarding national security through counterintelligence and security operations. Job Requirements

  • IT-related experience demonstrated by paid or unpaid work or intensive training such as IT certification
  • experience sufficient to demonstrate competencies in attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving
  • one year of specialized IT experience at the GS-12 level or equivalent
  • specialized experience with STIGs assessment in relevant technology areas
  • knowledge of cybersecurity principles, networking, and risk management
  • ability to prepare audit reports and recommend remediation
  • must submit transcripts
  • ability to perform at GS-13 level complexity and responsibility
  • demonstrated possession of necessary knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies for the role
  • suitable for OTHER employment type

Job Duties

  • Conduct advanced security assessments using Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
  • provide expert analysis of technology environments including networks, endpoint security, and databases
  • prepare detailed audit reports identifying findings and recommending remediation strategies
  • utilize cybersecurity principles and networking concepts to perform impact and risk assessments
  • apply risk management processes to assess and mitigate cybersecurity risks
  • communicate findings effectively through clear written reports and oral presentations
  • collaborate with team members to address complex cybersecurity challenges
