Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of experience in food and beverage or restaurant environment
  • ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety training
  • Completion of alcohol awareness training such as TIPS
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends holidays and varied shifts
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to interact courteously with guests and team members

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of experience in the restaurant food and beverage field
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests management and co-workers to their understanding
  • High school graduate or equivalent some college preferred
  • ServSafe and/or food safety training
  • Alcohol awareness training such as TIPS
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
  • Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele

Job Duties

  • Be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends holidays and varied shifts
  • Ensure compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the Food and Beverage Department
  • Maintain food and beverage safety and quality based on hotel Shaner and Franchise specifications
  • Ensure communication with General Manager all other Department Managers Supervisors and Staff
  • Courteously greet and escort guests to tables and assist in seating ensuring hotel's standards of service
  • Assist in preparing the restaurant for service and always maintain cleanliness of the room
  • Take record and confirm reservations as specified in the department’s standards
  • Assist in monitoring guests' needs and all phases of the operation
  • Other duties as assigned
