Hotel Celare, a Marriott Tribute Portfolio hotel, represents the pinnacle of hospitality and innovation located in Cincinnati's vibrant District at Clifton Heights. This hotel, part of the esteemed Shaner Hotel Group portfolio, offers guests an immersive experience where culture, creativity, and community converge. Overlooking the University of Cincinnati and a short distance from downtown, Hotel Celare stands out as a modern, energetic destination with thoughtfully designed spaces, including a dynamic lobby, sunlit event venues with a wraparound terrace, the popular Vick Rooftop Bar, and Iris Café. It is a place where both visitors and locals can enjoy diverse culinary delights and a lively ambiance. Beyond its physical assets, Hotel Celare embodies the spirit of Cincinnati’s newest hospitality experience, providing a hub for connection, exploration, and relaxation, be it through its 24/7 fitness center or proximity to local shops and cafés.
The Food and Beverage Service role at Hotel Celare offers a unique career opportunity within a company recognized for excellence across 65+ properties in multiple states and countries. As a vital member of the Food and Beverage Department, the successful candidate is responsible for ensuring compliance with daily operational procedures per hotel, Shaner, and franchise standards. This role demands attention to maintaining impeccable food and beverage safety and quality, making certain that guest experiences align with the high hospitality standards that the Marriott Tribute Portfolio and Shaner Hotel Group are known for.
This position requires readiness to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, and various shifts to meet the dynamic needs of the hotel’s busy operation. The individual will establish effective communication channels with General Manager, department managers, supervisors, and staff to foster a smooth, efficient working environment. Key responsibilities include greeting and escorting guests courteously, assisting in seating to uphold Hotel Celare's service standards, preparing restaurant areas for service, and guaranteeing cleanliness at all times. Taking and managing reservations with accuracy in accordance with department standards, together with monitoring guest needs throughout their dining experience, are essential components of the role.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in the restaurant or food and beverage field and possess strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests, management, and colleagues. Educationally, a high school diploma or equivalent is required, with some college preferred. Certifications such as ServSafe or food safety training and alcohol awareness training like TIPS are also necessary to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Being bilingual in English and Spanish is considered an advantage, expanding the ability to engage with a diverse clientele effectively. Additionally, having knowledge of local attractions and activities adds value in tailoring guest interactions.
Joining the Shaner Hotel Group means becoming part of an award-winning hospitality organization, celebrated for its comprehensive hotel services including development, design, e-commerce, and revenue management. Hotel Celare is the newest testament to their commitment to quality and guest satisfaction. This role is not just a job but a chance to contribute to shaping the future of hospitality in Cincinnati, offering personal and professional growth in a fast-paced, guest-centric environment where innovation meets hospitality at every turn.
