Communication stands as a core part of this role, involving close coordination with Load Planners, Scheduling Team Leaders, and external customers to address service-related issues effectively. Additionally, this position requires soliciting freight opportunities from both new and existing customers, contributing to business growth. The role offers a rotational shift schedule from 6 PM to 6 AM, typically covering 3 to 4 days per week, providing flexibility and a unique working environment that supports work-life balance.
Candidates for this role typically possess a high school diploma or equivalent business experience, with a degree preferred. Prior logistics dispatch or scheduling experience is advantageous, alongside proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics application software. Job Duties
- Gather monitor and analyze inventories for forecasted customers
- Confirm accurate retain and runout times while maximizing payload and on-time performance by analyzing inventories and sales as information becomes available
- Evaluate and adjust current and future orders based on driver capacity and customer demands
- Coordinate with Asset Specialists to update known sourcing as changes occur and revise daily operating plan as necessary to ensure operational efficiency
- Communicate effectively with Load Planners Scheduling Team Leaders and external customers on service issues
- Solicit new and existing customers for freight opportunities
