Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 3 years of purchasing/buyer experience
  • proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications
  • experience with SAP MM preferred
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to manage inventory and order discrepancies
  • capacity to analyze forecast reports and data
  • attention to detail
  • reliable and flexible

Job Qualifications

  • Previous purchasing/buyer experience with 3+ years
  • strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications
  • experience with SAP MM strongly preferred
  • ability to read and analyze forecast reports

Job Duties

  • Price special charters/functions and participate in food cost problem solving
  • develop solutions and tracking for food cost issues
  • order product based on supplier, airline, or product type
  • determine quantity to order based on forecast, on hand inventory, and supplier delivery schedule and lead-time
  • perform physical inventory on product lines prior to ordering
  • source new items through suppliers and add new items to purchasing system
  • handle order discrepancies by communicating with supplier
  • conduct end of month physical inventory
  • determine and communicate product overages or shortages and develop a strategy to address
  • read and analyze forecast reports accurately and timely
  • maintain address system in the purchasing system
