Job Description

Quality Custom Distribution Services LLC (QCD) is a renowned custom last-mile distribution company dedicated to providing tailored logistics solutions for select customers in the food service industry. Founded in 2006 and headquartered in Frisco, Texas, QCD operates as a subsidiary of Golden State Foods (GSF). With an extensive network of 25 strategically located distribution centers and a fleet that drives over 40 million miles annually, QCD services thousands of restaurants throughout the United States, making over 37,000 deliveries every week. The company is committed to operational excellence, safety, customer satisfaction, and fostering a people-first culture that empowers employees to grow and succeed within their careers. QCD also supports community efforts through the national non-profit organization, the GSF Foundation.

At QCD, every role matters, and the position of Inventory Control Clerk is a critical part of our operations. We seek a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual to maintain accurate inventory levels for all stored finished products and liquid goods. This role demands precision and diligence since it involves conducting regular cycle counts, audits, and resolving any discrepancies found within our inventory management system. It also requires physical stamina and the ability to work in various temperature-controlled environments, including ambient, cooler, and freezer zones, with the capacity to lift items weighing up to 70 pounds regularly. The Inventory Control Clerk will use hands-on tools such as RF scanners and warehouse management system (WMS) software, as well as operate material handling equipment including pallet jacks and forklifts (certification required).

This full-time position follows a Tuesday through Saturday schedule from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM and offers competitive pay ranging from $22 to $26 per hour depending on experience. The role involves not only cycle counting but also auditing order selection accuracy, verifying purchase orders and receiving documentation, conducting slot audits, managing inventory changes such as phase-ins and phase-outs of products, and cross-training in order processing when necessary. The successful candidate will uphold a high standard of accuracy, product integrity, and inventory levels while collaborating with warehouse, transportation, and logistics teams to support overall company objectives. QCD values individuals who demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, a keen attention to detail, and effective communication skills.

At QCD, you are not just taking a job but building a career. We offer comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision coverage starting after just 30 days, weekly pay every Friday, a 401(k) plan, paid holidays, vacation, and company-provided uniforms and work shoes. Our people-first philosophy fosters an inclusive and respectful workplace where employees are encouraged to develop their potential through continuous learning and career advancement opportunities. Join QCD and become part of a dynamic team dedicated to keeping America’s favorite restaurants running smoothly while advancing your professional path in the supply chain and distribution industry.
