Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of professional experience in import or export trade compliance
  • experience managing and mentoring team members
  • knowledge of US customs and census regulations
  • working knowledge of ITAR, EAR, BATFE, and other US government trade regulations
  • ability to manage and prioritize diverse workload
  • exceptional communication skills
  • proven team collaboration ability
  • ability to obtain secret security clearance
  • US citizenship

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor's degree with 8+ years of professional experience in import or export trade compliance or master's degree with 6+ years of experience
  • experience managing and mentoring team members
  • command of US customs and census regulations
  • working knowledge of ITAR, EAR, BATFE, and other US government trade regulations
  • expertise with regulatory requirements and operations for import and export transactions
  • experience with chapter 98 exemptions, free trade agreements, duty drawback regulations, temporary import bonds, nasa and dod duty free entitlement opportunities
  • exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • proven strength in collaboration and team building
  • ability to obtain secret level security clearance
  • US citizenship

Job Duties

  • manage and guide a team of international trade compliance operations analysts to support space sector businesses
  • analyze program and project import and export activity and provide regulatory guidance
  • engage with internal partners such as global supply chain, contracts, programs, and licensing and external partners such as suppliers and agents
  • apply US import and export laws and regulations to enable the movement of hardware ensuring compliance with customs authorities
  • coordinate and arrange transportation and logistics planning for international transactions
  • foster a culture of excellence and ethical conduct
  • build collaborative teams and maintain strong relationships
