Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED degree or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years industry experience in export/import operations
- Knowledge of ITAR, DG or TSA regulations
- Familiarity with Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier processes
- Proficient in CargoWise software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to continuous learning and compliance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED degree or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
- 2+ years industry experience in export/import operations
- Knowledge of ITAR, DG or TSA work experience/regulations
- General computer skills
- Familiarity with Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier (NVOCC) processes
- Understanding of Actual Time of Arrival (ATA) concepts
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations
- Understanding of export regulations
- Familiarity with Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requirements
- CargoWise certification within 1-1/2 years
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite within 1-1/2 years
Job Duties
- Work with customers to qualify their shipping requirements and obtain all necessary details for shipment quotation and operation
- Prepare profitable quotations accurately
- Set shipping schedules and communicate with customers, deliverers, and ports to verify loading, departures and arrivals
- Coordinate day-to-day import and export of products, including reviewing orders and documents
- Track and communicate all delays, damages, and problems to resolve customer issues
- Manage all aspects of air and ocean international operations such as customer service, data entry of shipments, operations and billing
- Coordinate recovery and delivery schedules with cartage agents and international partners
- Partner with local sales teams to communicate problems to customers and partners
- Ensure customer SOP instructions and AIT KPIs and guidelines are followed
- Ensure all shipments are properly billed within company guidelines and timelines
- Process and comply with all requirements listed by regulatory agencies
- Network with departments to ensure files are billed and posted prior to end of month
- Continuously learn through required compliance training and certifications
- Perform other duties as assigned
