Job Description

Our client is a physician-led, mission-driven primary care organization based in Memphis, TN, dedicated to transforming healthcare for seniors through the delivery of high-quality, value-based care. This organization emphasizes personalized, respectful, and accessible healthcare services aimed at achieving better health outcomes and providing an exceptional patient experience for seniors living with multiple chronic illnesses. With an innovative approach that blends clinical excellence and compassionate care, the center plays a critical role in redefining primary care for the aging population. Their care model represents a shift away from traditional fee-for-service structures toward value-based care, prioritizing patient health and long-term wellness rather than volume of services provided.

The Center Clinical Medical Director role is a unique leadership opportunity for experienced primary care physicians passionate about geriatric health and motivated by both purpose and professional growth. This full-time position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $280,000 to $300,000, supplemented by bonus incentives and partnership possibilities without any buy-in required, providing a lucrative compensation package. The Medical Director will work Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a clinical focus on managing a small patient panel of 60 to 90 seniors, each typically managing three to five chronic diseases. This panel size enables a thorough and personalized approach to care, ensuring quality over quantity.

In this role, you will lead and manage a team of primary care providers and nurse practitioners, ensuring efficient center operations and the delivery of value-based care to the patient population. The position includes involvement in provider training programs such as PCP Black Belt Training, PCP Essentials, leadership pathways, medical economics, sales, and growth strategies, positioning the Medical Director not only as a clinician but as a vital administrative and leadership figure within the organization. As a key driver of the center's success, you'll play an essential leadership role in fostering clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and financial performance while supporting the professional development of your team.

This role offers a balanced work-life schedule, focusing on a manageable patient panel and structured clinic hours to prevent burnout and maintain provider well-being. The clinic supports its patients beyond traditional services by providing integrated consulting specialties in cardiology and podiatry, holistic health services including acupuncture, Tai Chi, yoga, and nutritional counseling, as well as door-to-door transportation options like Uber and Lyft to improve appointment accessibility.

In addition to a robust benefits package including 33 days of paid time off, comprehensive health, dental, and vision plans for the provider and their family, a 401(k) plan with a 5.5% match, relocation assistance, and an additional $3,500 stipend plus one week of additional benefits, this position is designed to attract dedicated clinicians aiming for a meaningful, rewarding career in primary care leadership focused on senior health. This opportunity is ideal for board-certified or board-eligible physicians in family medicine, internal medicine, or geriatrics with a passion for clinical leadership and a commitment to transforming senior care through innovative, value-driven models.
