Job Description

Fontainebleau Miami Beach is an iconic oceanfront hotel located on Collins Avenue in the heart of Millionaire's Row. Since its opening in 1954, Fontainebleau has stood as a symbol of luxury and architectural significance, famously designed by legendary architect Morris Lapidus. It originally set the standard for opulence and glamour during the Golden Era, and today it has been reimagined to blend timeless elegance with modern luxury. The hotel offers a unique guest experience, where design, contemporary art, music, fashion, and technology come together to create a vibrant and dynamic atmosphere. Fontainebleau invites guests to immerse themselves in a world where they can play, shop, dine, spa, meet, or relax, redefining what a perfect day means to each individual. As a hospitality leader, Fontainebleau is committed to excellence in every detail, ensuring that every aspect of the guest experience is curated to leave a lasting impression.

The Maintenance Technician, Floor and Carpet role at Fontainebleau Miami Beach is crucial in upholding the hotel’s pristine appearance and luxurious ambiance. This position focuses on the upkeep and maintenance of floors and carpets across all public areas of the hotel, ensuring these high-traffic surfaces meet the standard of excellence expected by guests and staff alike. Responsibilities include cleaning walls, ceilings, vents, stairwells, as well as all exterior areas of the property as designated. The role also involves polishing delicate marble, stone, and linoleum surfaces to maintain their shine and historic character. Regular cleaning and maintenance of carpets are also part of the daily duties. Beyond these tasks, the Maintenance Technician may be required to perform other related duties as assigned to support the operational and aesthetic standards of the hotel. The position demands a high level of organization, strong problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities to interact productively with colleagues and contribute to a cohesive work environment. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience working in a large resort setting and preferably prior experience working with stone, masonry, or ceramic tile cleaning. This role is perfect for individuals who take pride in their work and want to be part of a distinguished team that creates a memorable luxury experience for guests at one of Miami Beach’s most celebrated destinations.
