Job Description

Fluidstack is a pioneering technology company based in San Francisco, California, dedicated to advancing humanity's freedom through innovative AI infrastructure. The company operates at the intersection of frontier computing and artificial intelligence, aiming to build the world's most powerful and scalable compute infrastructure to accelerate the development and deployment of AI models that align with human values and interests. Fluidstack's mission is to ensure that AI expands human choice rather than restricts it by investing heavily in acquiring power, designing, building, and operating data centers with integrated hardware and software teams. Speed and scale are core to their differentiation in this fast-evolving technological landscape.

The role open at Fluidstack is within their People Team, a group passionate about making Fluidstack the best place for employees to do their life’s best work. This team designs and manages the systems, environments, and partnerships essential for enabling talented individuals to focus on meaningful problems. Their responsibility spans operational infrastructure that ensures seamless organizational function, shaping employee experiences throughout their lifecycle, and supporting leadership and management to foster a thriving culture.

This specific role is created to bridge communication gaps and enhance employee engagement as Fluidstack scales rapidly. The position is focused on managing internal communications and orchestrating employee events. Both aspects are given equal importance as they are crucial for building trust and community within the company. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing a consistent cadence of clear and thoughtful company-wide communications, including lifecycle notifications like onboarding, promotions, and departures. Concurrently, they will design and execute a comprehensive social programming calendar that includes team-building activities, company-wide gatherings, and rituals that strengthen a sense of belonging.

The role demands a careful balance of communication skills and event planning expertise. The candidate will work closely with leadership and various operational teams to ensure that what is communicated and created aligns authentically with Fluidstack’s culture and values. They will be instrumental in creating shared employee experiences that promote connection, clarity, and confidence in the company’s direction.

The position offers a competitive salary of around $240,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus equity options. Fluidstack also extends comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, and generous paid time off, aligned with local norms. The company emphasizes a high standard of trust, innovation, kindness, and creativity, expecting the candidate to contribute deeply to these values through their work. Fluidstack is committed to diversity, inclusion, and pay equity, welcoming applicants from diverse backgrounds such as journalism, marketing, corporate communications, and event production who possess a passion for clear writing, audience engagement, and community building.
