Job Description
HCT is a renowned healthcare staffing organization dedicated to connecting top nursing professionals with leading healthcare facilities across the United States. Known for its commitment to quality and excellence, HCT specializes in providing expert medical staff for temporary, travel, and permanent positions, helping hospitals maintain the highest standards of patient care. With a national network and a deep understanding of healthcare environments, HCT ensures seamless placements that benefit both the healthcare facilities and the professionals they serve.
HCT is currently seeking an experienced nursing professional to take on the role of Interim Manager of Quality & Patient Safety at a prominent, 390-plus bed hospital located in California. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead quality initiatives and patient safety programs within a large acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will bring a strong nursing background, with specific expertise in data management related to cardiac registries, chart reviews, and analytic processes.
In this role, the Interim Manager is responsible for overseeing the collection, analysis, and reporting of data derived from various cardiac-related registries. The data will be used to monitor quality indicators and drive process improvements that enhance patient outcomes and clinical care practices. This position demands proficiency in chart reviews, data analysis, and the generation of visual reports, such as graphs and charts, to support strategic decisions.
Additionally, the Interim Manager will spearhead quality improvement initiatives that align with hospital standards and regulatory requirements. Collaboration with clinical teams, administrators, and other stakeholders will be essential in developing and implementing programs that foster patient safety and meet compliance expectations. This role requires a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at multitasking, and demonstrates strong leadership and communication skills.
The position requires a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), a valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license, and at least three years of experience in a similar capacity within an acute care setting. Familiarity with Cerner EMR systems is essential to effectively manage and extract data for quality assurance purposes. Candidates with a passion for data accuracy, quality standards, and patient safety will find this role rewarding.
HCT offers comprehensive support to candidates throughout the assignment, including coverage of housing, airfare, and rental car expenses, ensuring a smooth transition and focus on the critical responsibilities of the role. The assignment is positioned as a temporary opportunity that allows a nursing professional to make impactful contributions in a leadership capacity, while also enjoying the benefits and flexibility associated with interim management.
Referral incentives are available, with HCT offering $2,000 for every candidate or position placement referred that results in a successful hire. This further emphasizes HCT's commitment to building strong professional networks and facilitating valuable connections within the healthcare community.
