Job Requirements
- Associates degree in Emergency Medical Services or certificate of program completion in EMT/Paramedic
- Florida Paramedic license
- Minimum one year of experience as field Paramedic or clinical experience in hospital
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Emergency Vehicle Operations Course within 60 days of hire
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Responds to Orange Park Hospital EMS Transport Services Call-Center requests for patient transport
- Provides care in the out of hospital setting as primary care provider during interfacility transports
- Assesses, plans, implements intervention, and evaluates patient care according to Florida scope of practice and hospital protocols
- Performs diverse duties within the Emergency Department requiring knowledge of protocols, medical techniques, and equipment
- Performs EMS hand off reports at destination facilities and communicates with nursing staff and physicians
- Ensures readiness of ambulance and associated equipment for service
- Actively seeks ways to control costs without compromising patient safety or quality of care
