The position of Insulator at CDI offers a critical role focused on the detailed application and installation of insulation and sealing materials on finished HVAC products according to strict specifications. This hands-on position requires precision in measuring interior dimensions and applying materials such as insulation, lifting lugs, foil tape, and labels, while operating various tools including glue guns, drills, sprayers, and pin spotters. Quality control is paramount, with responsibilities extending to reviewing welds, applying cold galvanizing spray paint, and preparing units for shipping.
Beyond technical expertise, the Insulator plays a key role in the production flow by tracking and logging work via digital devices and coordinating effectively with supervisors and other production staff to ensure seamless operations. This role also involves tasks such as cutting lumber for crating, constructing shipping crates using pneumatic nail guns, and loading completed products onto trucks in compliance with carrier, Department of Transportation (DOT), and company requirements. Safety and precision are vital, as the position frequently requires lifting heavy loads and performing physically demanding activities such as bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.

The company offers a competitive salary ranging from $21 to $24 per hour, reflecting the specialized skills and responsibility inherent in the role.
