Reporting directly to the Manager of Admitting and working closely with the Admitting Supervisor, the Information Desk Coordinator acts as the first point of contact for patients and visitors entering the hospital. This role demands a high level of customer service skills, as it involves addressing inquiries, guiding individuals to the appropriate hospital departments, and verifying pre-registration status to streamline patient intake processes. Moreover, the coordinator is responsible for ensuring all patients are directed accordingly with the necessary paperwork to avoid any delays or confusion.

In this capacity, the Information Desk Coordinator must exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, patience, and a strong orientation towards service excellence. The coordinator's responsibilities include managing the hospital lobby’s information desk efficiently, offering courteous assistance to all visitors, staff, and patients, and collaborating harmoniously with different hospital teams to fulfill organizational goals. Familiarity with medical terminology, computer proficiency, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously are crucial in this position. Candidates with bilingual capabilities, especially in English and Spanish, are preferred, as this enhances communication with a diverse patient population.

  • Previous experience in registration or receptionist roles
