Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 2 years of experience in project management, scheduling, operations coordination, or a related field in lieu of a degree
  • Clear pre-employment DOT testing
  • Must successfully complete 5-6 weeks of Flight Attendant Training if not already qualified as an AS Flight Attendant and maintain certification as a Flight Attendant
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects and tasks to completion simultaneously
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with limited guidance
  • Strong communication skills including verbal, written, and listening
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule including potential shift work, holidays, and weekends
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time as required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 21 years of age and willing to serve alcohol
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Job Duties

  • Solve straightforward process and training logistics problems
  • Focus on coordinating work with a week+ time horizon
  • Provide input into processes and procedures to improve training program deliverables
  • Administer the day-to-day inflight training operation to ensure all training and records are efficiently scheduled and maintained
  • Apply knowledge in the Alaska Airlines Flight Attendant Collective Bargaining Agreement and Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs) for flight attendant scheduling legalities
  • Communicate frequently with managers, supervisors, and inflight training delivery teams to provide timely information and promote best practices
  • Develop and maintain various System Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure timely updates and implementation
  • Build and maintain training forms for Flight Attendant training classes and Open Houses
  • Prepare Initial Training (IT) pre-class and personnel paperwork and logistics for flight attendant graduations
  • Book hotel accommodations and transportation for IT classes, out-of-town Recurrent (RT)/Requal (RQ) students, instructors, and management
  • Manage electronic Training Request (TREQ) system to ensure training locations are adhering to compliance per CFRs
  • Prepare and code invoices for hotels, dedicated shuttles, per diems, and department expenses including purchasing card expenses
